Gatlinburg Tulip Tower

The Gatlinburg SkyPark Tulip Tower is an added dimension to the SkyTrail expansion, which opened in 2021. The Tulip Tower is made of weathering steel, is 80’ tall, and is accessed by two suspension bridges that connect to the SkyTrail. The suspension bridges bring guests in and out of the lowest deck of the Tulip Tower, and the three additional decks above can be accessed by staircases that curve around as they climb the outside of the main structure. The design of the staircases as well as the angled-out railings gives guests the opportunity to experience the thrill of being up in the air and out in the open - looking straight down without obstruction if they’re brave - while being held securely on the tower.

The Gatlinburg Tulip Tower requires no special safety equipment, and gives guests using the SkyTrail an additional open-air, up high adventure, as well as a vantage point to enjoy the activities on both the SkyTrail and the Gatlinburg SkyBridge. The lookout is tucked away within the Gatlinburg SkyPark and is a great place to people watch, to enjoy the natural environment, and of course, to spot those Gatlinburg bears we all love!
